Manna support

The short version

Email danielh@wholeyield.com. Manna is built and supported by one person, so your message goes straight to Daniel rather than into a queue. Say what you were doing and what happened, and he will get you sorted.

Getting help

Email, first and always

danielh@wholeyield.com works for everything: a bug, a question, an idea, or a request about your information. During the beta it is also how invitations happen, so if you are here wanting to try Manna, that address is the whole process.

From inside the app

Settings has a Send feedback form. It sends only when you tap Send, nothing is automatic, and it needs a sync account so a reply can find its way back to you. If you have not set one up, email works just as well.

What helps in a report

  • What device you are on.
  • What you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • A screenshot, if something looks wrong rather than acts wrong.

The beta

Manna is currently in a small private beta for iPhone, distributed through Apple's TestFlight. Installing TestFlight and accepting the invitation both happen in Apple's app with your Apple account, so an install problem is sometimes Apple's to fix rather than ours, but ask anyway and we will work out which it is.

Beta builds expire after a while by TestFlight's design. If Manna stops opening and says the beta has ended, that is what happened: write in and a fresh build or invitation fixes it.

Your data

By default everything Manna knows lives on your device, so there is no account to recover and no password to reset. Two things follow from that.

Back up. Settings has an export that saves your study record to a file you keep. Deleting the app deletes its data, and without an export that data has no other copy anywhere.

Deletion is in your hands. Remove the app and your study data goes with it. If you turned on the optional cloud sync, email and your synced record and any feedback you sent will be deleted.

The privacy policy covers all of this in detail, in plain language.
